TECHNICIANS

Our group of technicians are people that aren't afraid to get dirty. Their day can go everywhere from surgeries, exams with puppies, farm call emergencies, to ensuring you and your pet feel comfort at their last moments. The team strives to go above and beyond for each individual patient and will do whatever it takes to make them feel comfortable. With this group of people, it is not unusual to see them in the kennel with a scared dog to soothe them or staying late to help a patient out.

KAYLEEN UTHE

Kayleen has been a registered veterinary technician since 2007, and joined the staff at Long Veterinary Clinic in February 2012. Some of the tasks she performs here at the clinic include: drawing blood, processing blood work, providing care for hospitalized patients, educating clients on their pets' health and assisting in rooms, farm calls as well as surgery. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and going for walks.

HEATHER BLUM

Heather has worked at LVC since 2021. She graduated college with a bachelors of Animal Sciences from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2009. She enjoys all aspects of her job but assisting with surgery and traveling to farm calls are her favorite. She married her husband in 2010 and together they have 4 kids, three dogs and 2 cats! In her free time she can be found traveling with her family and visiting the zoo and aquarium.

CIARA JONES

Ciara started working at LVC in September of 2018 as a boarding/daycare attendant. During the Spring of 2020 she began working as a vet assistant for the clinic. She graduated from the Maple Woods Vet Tech program in 2021 and earned her RVT license after graduation. Ciara enjoys spending time with her family and friends, along with her two cats Meatball and Sushi.

JORDAN JOHNS

Jordan has been working at Long Vet Clinic since late August of 2021. She's worked as both a receptionist and a technician here. She has a long haired flame point Siamese named Pabu who is her partner in crime.

DAJANA JOHNSON

Dajana attended the University Of Missouri-Columbia and studied Pre-Veterinary Animal Science. She is currently working towards her Veterinary Technician license through Maple Woods. She started at LVC in summer of 2023 and has been working with animals since fall of 2019. She has two adorable dachshunds and a long hair orange tabby. In her free time she enjoys going on trail rides with her friends and favorite horse, Tye!
